In October, the CSRA board decided to start listing unsanctioned tournaments on the tournament calendar. Events won't be included if they conflict with a sanctioned event, but hopefully this will otherwise increase the exposure and popularity of competitive racquetball opportunities in the state.

Hello Fellow Racquetballers,

Some of you may have heard that we are fortunate enough to host an event that shouldn't be missed by anyone who loves the game of racquetball. On February 25, 2009 at 6:30 pm the legendary Cliff Swain will play a best 3 out of 5 match against Jason Mannino. I don't think I need to tell you who these players are but for those of you that don't know, these are two of the best racquetball players of all time that are still on the professional tour. Both are former "Worlds #1 Player".

If you've never seen a professional match up close it is an incredible spectacle at it just so happens that these two individuals are perhaps the most exciting players to watch.  Of course as most of you know we typically pull all the stops when we host an event at Laguna Creek Racquet Club and this event is no exception.

We will have bleacher style seating for approx 80 people along with a full dinner and plenty of cold beer water and soda. Both players will be mic'd so we can hear the "trash talk" and humor from the players perspective. The match will be followed up with Q&A, play the pro, autographs and pictures. These men are the Michael Jordans and Tiger Woods of the game of racquetball so be sure not to miss this event!!

We need your help to make this event happen. If we do not receive the funds needed to host this event by January 25, we will cancel the event and any monies received WILL BE REIMBURSED IN FULL. Come out and support the game of racquetball as well as these two men who have given so much to the sport - our sport.
