TEAM USA Brings Home the Gold!
U.S. Team Captures Overall Gold,
Men's Gold and Women's Silver at 2014 World Championships

(Jun 21, 2014) Earlier today TEAM USA captured its 16th IRF World Championships Title outside Toronto. The Team brought home the Gold Medal in the Men's Team competition and the Silver in the Women's. All eight Americans competing received medals. Rocky Carson captured his record fourth straight Men's Singles World Championships Title with a victory over Conrado Moscoso of Bolivia 3 and 8. In doing so, Rocky became the first player to win four Singles Titles in the 33-year history of the Championships. Rhonda Rajsich won the Women's Singles Silver Medal. She lost in the final to world #1 and defending World Champion Paola Longoria of Mexico 6 and 8. Aimee Ruiz and Janel Tisinger teamed up to take the Silver Medal in Women's Doubles. They lost in the finals to Paola Longoria and Samatha Salas 4 and 8. This is the thrid straight World Championships title for the Mexican duo.
